Latar Belakang
Provinsi Jawa Tengah
adalah salah satu provinsi besar yang ada di tanah jawa dengan ibu kota
Semarang. Di provinsi ini memiliki 35 kota dan kabupaten yang terdapat beragam
jenis kuliner khas. Dengan keanekaragaman makanan tersebut membuat para turis
domestik dan mancanegara kesulitan untuk membedakan jenis kuliner sesuai dengan
daerah asalnya, bagi para pelancong dapat digunakan untuk mencari berbagai lokasi
dan informasi dari berbagai bidang kehidupan, terutama di bidang kuliner.
Penulis berpendapat para pelancong yang pergi ke suatu tempat tidak mengetahui
dengan benar informasi mengenai lokasi tersebut, khususnya di provinsi besar
seperti Jawa Tengah.
Kemajuan teknologi yang
sudah maju, membuat pengguna beralih ke sistem android, terutama para pelancong
yang memilih smartphone android ini memudahkan perjalanannya. Android
merupakan sistem
operasi berbasis open source sehingga
dapat digunakan secara gratis untuk implementasi aplikasi handphone. Android juga memiliki banyak kelebihan,
yaitu fitur yang menarik dan aplikasi yang di dapat secara percuma di playstore.
Dengan
itu penulis membuat ‘Aplikasi kuliner khas Jawa
Tengah Berbasis Android’ yang bermaksud
untuk memberikan informasi mengenai jenis kuliner yang ada di provinsi Jawa
Tengah beserta lokasi kuliner khas tersebut.
